The Atoka Police Department is investigating the theft of a boat that was reported stolen from a campsite at Atoka Lake.
A victim filed a report on Monday, September 8, stating his boat was taken sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. the previous day, Sunday, September 7. The victim had been camping and had the 1965 Lonestar V bottom camo boat tied up at the bank.
After searching the lake with a friend for most of the day without success, the victim reported the theft to the police.
