The Atoka Police Department is investigating a possible counterfeit bill making its way from Texas to Atoka.
On September 10th, Sgt. James Riley responded to the QuikTrip for a report of a couple paying with a counterfeit fifty-dollar bill.
Jose Marron told police he had purchased fuel from Love’s in Hillsboro, TX, and received the bill in return as change back for the purchase. Marron and his passenger, MaElena Vargas Lara, then traveled to Atoka where they stopped at the QuikTrip.
