Along with the Atoka Chamber of Commerce and the Another 48 Hours in Atoka group, we had our ribbon cutting for our new stage on Friday, September 5th. It is located across from City Hall in the Green Space.
I will be attending the annual Oklahoma Municipal League Conference from Tuesday evening on September 9th until Friday morning, September 12th. It is a great yearly opportunity to network with other city managers and town administrators from all over the state, and a multitude of vendors offering information on a variety of subject matters.
Construction on widening 6th Street is complete and the remaining overlay is in progress as of this writing. As soon as that is completed, we will be laying a new water line down that street as well. In case you haven't driven by lately, there are 10 new homes in the early building stages. I look forward to seeing them completed.
