The Atoka Area Youth Big Buck Contest is back for 2025, offering young hunters a chance to test their skills and win prizes.
The contest, which includes archery, blackpowder, and rifle season runs, is open to hunters 18 and under.
The competition will run from October 1 to December 31, 2025. All deer must be legally checked in to be eligible, with scoring based on the Boone and Crockett gross scoring system. Non-typical categories are considered, but typical ones are excluded. For an entry to be valid, the deer must be mounted by Mixon Wild Game & Taxidermy.
