Homecoming Set for Wampus Cats Against Winless Eagles

Atoka goes into homecoming at 0-4 this week as the 0-4 Morris Eagles come to town on Friday, Oct. 3. The homecoming parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 in downtown Atoka and the coronation ceremony will take place on the field at 6:30 p.m. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

The Morris Eagles have allowed 26 or more points in each game and are coming off their closest game of the season with a 35-26 loss at home vs Henryetta. Atoka is coming off a loss in their Class 2A-2 District 4 road opener loss at Wilburton 34-7.

The Wampus Cats avoided a shutout loss against Wilburton after freshman quarterback Konner Ritchie scored on a 75+ yard touchdown run with 2:48 remaining in the game. Timothy Wingo then scored the point after attempting to give Atoka 7 points in the game.
