A call regarding a man with an active warrant at a gas station in Lane led to a physical confrontation on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of the wanted man and injuries to a law enforcement officer.
On October 1st, at approximately 2:20 PM, Trooper Mullins of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Deputy Austin Golden responded to Mr. G's Gas Station, after receiving a tip that Timothy McCarty, who had a warrant for Threatening to Perform an Act of Violence, was on the premises.
The officers made contact with McCarty behind the store. When informed of the warrant, McCarty denied it and refused to comply with the order to turn around, saying, 'this (omitted) ain't right,' and repeatedly insisting he would not go to jail.
