This week most churches not only across the area but Nation Wide participated in 'Operation Christmas Child' a project of Franklin Graham's organization Samaritan's Purse as this was National Collection Week.
Operation Christmas Child began in 1993 and over 232 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.
