A Thanksgiving pursuit that spanned two counties and involved multiple law enforcement agencies ended late Thursday when an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper performed a precision maneuver to stop a fleeing vehicle near the Stringtown Choctaw Travel Plaza.
At approximately 10:54 PM, the Atoka County Sheriff's Office was notified by the Pittsburgh County Sheriff's Office that Savanna Police were pursuing a black Lexus southbound on Highway 69, wanted for speed violations and possible DUI.
The Kiowa Police Department took over the pursuit, and the Lexus entered Atoka County at 11:00 PM, traveling southbound on Highway 69 at speeds between 75 and 95 MPH.
