Gus Hutson — Gus Hutson, age 9, killed his first big 8-point buck. Sunday morning, he and his dad (Shane Hutson) went hunting but did not see anything. The pair pulled cards and decided to go home. At home, Gus saw the buck on the deer camera and said, “That’s my deer.” After trying their luck for a second time in the evening, Gus got his buck as it walked into view no more than 30 minutes after they reached their spot. Gus fired and laid the buck down. He was so excited he screamed, “I got him!” Submitted photo.
