Unresponsive Man Arrested on Drug Charge After Welfare Check

A welfare check led to an individual being arrested after an Atoka County Sheriff's Captain allegedly discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

At approximately 6:18 AM on November 14th, Atoka County Sheriff’s Office Captain Gipson responded to a call for service at the Centerpoint Store, located at 24232 E. Highway 3, concerning an unresponsive male subject near the business.

The store clerk informed Captain Gipson the man was behind the store. The Captain located the individual, identified as Christian Satterfield, standing next to a black motorcycle. The clerk later stated she had been concerned for Satterfield's well-being after he failed to respond when she honked her horn upon arriving for work.
