Cole Alford, a 2022 Caney High School graduate, took down an 11-point monster buck on opening weekend of rifle season to start Thanksgiving week off the right way.
Alford explained how the last time he saw the buck was on Sept. 4. Although he thought the buck was gone and wouldn't come back, he knew the buck was still alive due to nobody sharing on social media that they took down the monster.
The morning of the big kill, Alford hit the deer stands with fog rolling through and little to no deer in sight. He was hesitant to hunt that evening but had a feeling his luck was about to change.
