An investigation into a shoplifting suspect at the Atoka Walmart has revealed a repeated pattern of theft involving multiple incidents over a two-month period.
On December 14, 2025, Atoka Police Officer Russell O’Neal met with Loss Prevention Officer Latricia Workman regarding a suspect identified as Angela Simmons. The investigation was triggered after Workman received a report from the Sherman Walmart, where Simmons had reportedly been caught shoplifting on December 13.
Following that lead, Workman audited security footage from the Atoka location and discovered three separate instances where Simmons allegedly bypassed payment at the self-checkout.
