Attempt to Flee Scene Leads to Arrest of Uncooperative Driver

A traffic stop for erratic driving escalated into a vehicle collision and an arrest on the afternoon of December 20, 2025.

At approximately 3:44 PM, Atoka Police Officer Cort Humphrey observed a gold Dodge Ram traveling northbound on US-Highway 69/75. The vehicle was seen striking multiple curbs and swerving into oncoming traffic, nearly striking another vehicle.

Even after the officer activated his emergency lights, the driver continued northbound, striking additional curbs before finally turning onto East 1st Street.
