An Atoka man, Shaynathian Rashaud Hicks, is facing a felony charge after failing to verify his address as required by the Oklahoma Sex Offender Registration Act.
According to a report from the Atoka Police Department, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC) issued a delinquency letter on December 18, 2025, after Hicks failed to respond to a mandatory verification notice sent in November. Hicks was originally convicted of Attempted Rape First Degree in October 2005.
Records show Hicks, who is a lifetime registrant, last verified his address on West Elm Street in August 2025. Because no further updates were received by the DOC or local police, he has been charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender (felony).
