A 20-year-old man was taken into custody on the evening of January 5, 2026, after Atoka Police discovered marijuana and tobacco products during a routine traffic stop. At approximately 7:15 P.M., an Atoka Police Officer stopped a Chevy Cruze near 10th and Montana Streets due to an inoperable license plate light. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the interior. When questioned, a front-seat passenger informed the officer that marijuana was located in the glove box and belonged to the back-seat passenger, identified as Caden Moore.
During a subsequent pat-down, Moore surrendered a vape pen from his pocket and admitted it was a THC vape.
A further search of the glove box uncovered four pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes. Moore admitted the items belonged to him and confirmed he did not possess a medical marijuana license.
