On Tuesday, January 6th, Assistant City Manager Gene Dodson, Public Works Director Bobby Ward and I met with Tommy Garrett from ODOT. We discussed the TAP grant I had applied for and went out to the location to see if it would qualify for the grant if chosen. He doesn’t have the final say but seemed to like our proposed project which would be adding sidewalks as previously mentioned.
However, due to the complexity and anticipated additional requirements and costs, we will probably have to break it down into phases and apply for additional TAP grants each year. Hopefully, we will be chosen for this one and then keep applying and get all of our project completed over time.
On Wednesday, January 7th, I attended the monthly Oklahoma Municipal Board meeting in Oklahoma City. It was a long but very informative meeting including several executive session agenda items.
