A small gathering around a fire led to criminal charges for an Atoka teen early Friday morning. Around 1:25 A.M. on January 16, 2026, Master Patrolman Christian Shomo noticed a fire burning just two feet from a residence at 556 N. Pine Street.
While speaking with individuals at the scene, officers spotted an open purse belonging to 19-year-old Elektra Kenyon. Due to Kenyon being under the legal age to possess tobacco or nicotine products, officers searched the bag for contraband after spotting a vape inside.
The search uncovered a black pouch containing a glass pipe with white crystal residue. The substance later field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
