Madelynn Cannon, a junior at Atoka High School, was selected to perform with the Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) Honor Band on Saturday, Jan. 31.
During the event's performance, Cannon was featured as a soloist, performing a vibraphone solo on an original composition. The OBU Honor Band selects high-achieving student musicians from across the state to participate in the intensive weekend clinic and final concert. Cannon was accompanied at the event by Atoka High School Band Director Mr. Karafotis and Assistant Band Director Mr. Cunningham.
