The Lane Eagles proudly hosted the O.R.E.S. Regional Basketball Tournament, welcoming the Denison Wildcats, Zaneis Wildcats, and Harmony Bulldogs for several days of competitive play and exciting matchups. Fans packed the gym throughout the week, as teams battled for regional championships and spots in the state tournament.
The tournament tipped off on Saturday, January 31, with the Harmony Lady Bulldogs setting the tone early by defeating the Zaneis Lady Wildcats, 42–7. In the boy’s game that followed, the Lane Eagles faced the Zaneis Wildcats, who secured a 48–13 win.
Competition resumed on Monday, February 2. The Lane Lady Eagles fought hard against the Denison Lady Wildcats but fell 30– 19. Later, the Harmony Bulldogs earned a 28–20 victory over the Denison Wildcats.
