Both Atoka and Tushka will kick off their Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association basketball playoff run this weekend while Stringtown and Caney have advanced to the next round of playoffs.
Atoka will compete at Anadarko in the Class 3A Area II District 5 championship on Friday, Feb. 20 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. With a win, the Wampus Cats would play the winner of Dickson vs Davis at Davis on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. and with a loss, the Wampus Cats will play the loser of Dickson vs Davis on Feb. 26 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. in Davis. Atoka will play the second and third round of the regional tournament at Tishomingo.
Tushka is set to travel to Colbert to play for a Class 2A Area III District 3 championship on Thursday, Feb. 19 against Colbert at 6 and 6:30 p.m. With a win, the Tigers will play the winner of Latta vs Calera at Latta on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. and with a loss, Tushka will play the loser of Latta vs Calera on Feb. 26 at 6 and 7:30 p.m. in Latta. Tushka will play all three rounds of the regional tournament at Latta.
