This year, 2026, marks 50 years since Stringtown High School has had a girls' basketball team capture a state playoff berth and make an appearance at the 'Big House' in the Oklahoma State Basketball Tournament.

This year, after 50 years, the ladies of the 1975-76 Stringtown Tigerettes state semifinalist team are hoping they can pass the torch to the 2025-26 Stringtown Lady Tigers.

The Stringtown Tigerettes as they were called were made up of thirteen 16–18-year-old girls who had a dream based on determination and dedication to play in the State Basketball Tournament.
