Large schools competed in regional tournaments while small schools competed in area tournaments this past weekend. The only team remaining in the playoffs for Atoka County is the Stringtown Lady Tigers who advanced to the state tournament.
The Atoka Wampus Cats ended their season at 1-23 after a first-round regional tournament loss to Davis 70-54 on Feb. 26.
The Lady Wampus Cats staved off elimination after defeating Dickson 38-29 in the first round of the regional tournament on Feb. 26. The girls' season ended on Feb. 27 with an 1116 record after a 27-24 loss to Heritage Hall.
