OBN Agent Seizes 64 Pounds of Marijuana, $42,000 in Cash

A traffic stop on U.S. Highway 69 has led to felony charges for two Texas men following the discovery of a large quantity of narcotics and cash.

On Feb. 24, Agent Justin Taylor with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) stopped a grey GMC pickup driven by Valentin Alvarado, 27, for a traffic violation. During the stop, Agent Taylor reported an 'overwhelming odor' of raw marijuana. The passenger was identified as Mike Homar Aranda, 39.

Alvarado and Aranda provided conflicting travel plans, with one stating they had been visiting friends in Owasso for several days while the other claimed they had only been there for one day.
