A 911 call reporting a violent family dispute led to a DUI arrest Friday night after a father reportedly crashed his vehicle while attempting to flee a confrontation at Atoka Lake.
Officer Cort Humphrey of the Atoka Police Department Lake Patrol and MPO Christian Shomo responded to the 43 Landing area on April 10, following reports of an individual allegedly threatening his father with a machete.
Upon arrival, officers encountered Warren Austin, who claimed his son had tried to kill him. Austin further advised officers that he had wrecked his vehicle while trying to escape the situation.
