Help your little one get ready for one of life’s biggest milestones: starting kindergarten—with a little help from the Southern Oklahoma Library System (SOLS).
The idea is simple, but the benefits are priceless. All you need to do is read a book—any book—to your newborn, infant, or toddler. The goal? Read 1,000 books together before your child enters kindergarten.
It might sound like a lot, but if you read just one book a night, you’ll have read about 365 books in a year. That’s 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. Since most children start kindergarten around age five, you have more time than you think. SOLS is here to support you every step of the way.
