United Way of South-Central Oklahoma and Sols Launches Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to Strengthen Early Literacy

The United Way of South-Central Oklahoma and the Southern Oklahoma Library System (SOLS) are celebrating a major milestone in early childhood literacy with the official launch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the Atoka area. To celebrate, a ribbon cutting will be held at the Atoka County Library at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 24th.

Through this program, children in participating counties —birth to age five—will receive one free, highquality, age-appropriate book each month, regardless of family income.

By partnering with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, United Way of South-Central Oklahoma and SOLS aim to inspire a lifelong love of reading and help prepare children for school success. Registration is now open for families across the area, and the first books will begin arriving in mailboxes soon.
