The Caney Lady Cougars are no strangers to the spotlight as they look to complete their quest for three consecutive state championships in slow pitch softball on May 6.

The top-ranked Lady Cougars (288) will attempt to complete a threepeat at the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association Class A Slow Pitch State Tournament on Wednesday, May 6, at the FireLake Ball Fields in Shawnee.

Caney will open the first round at 11:30 a.m. against No. 13 Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs (23-13). A win would move the Lady Cougars into a 4 p.m. semifinal against either No. 5 Roff Lady Tigers or No. 7 Fort Cobb-Broxton Lady Mustangs, with the championship game slated for 7 p.m.
