An ongoing investigation into illegal marijuana cultivation and registration fraud led to a raid at an Atoka property on Tuesday, June 2nd, resulting in one arrest and the seizure of thousands of plants.
According to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) report, the investigation began in March after authorities received an anonymous neighbor tip alleging marijuana trafficking. A subsequent historical analysis of the property revealed a revolving door of inactive and fraudulent medical marijuana registrations designed to hide the true business owners.
The affidavit states that after a previous operation on the property was denied a renewal due to ties with known 'straw owners,' the group bypassed the system by creating a new 911 address to secure a fresh registration under the name Villa Farm Inc.
