Though she currently spends her days analyzing nineteenth-century British and American Gothic literature at the University of Tulsa, author Kara Hodo’s roots run deep in Southeastern Oklahoma.
An enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation, Hodo grew up in the Atoka area; an upbringing that unexpectedly served as the creative launchpad for her debut young adult science-fiction novel, The Eschaton Diaries: Her Secrets Could Destroy Everything.
Hodo is no stranger to the written word. A voracious reader who began penning stories at age five, she has spent years quietly honing her craft across a multitude of genres, including fantasy, horror, and paranormal thrillers.
