A broken bay window and a discarded Gatorade bottle helped authorities tie a fleeing U-Haul theft suspect to a mid-June commercial burglary at a Choctaw Nation facility in Stringtown.
A food and beverage vendor discovered the shattered glass at the Highway 69 South Office Building on Monday, June 15, 2026. The facility, which serves as storage for the Stringtown Casino, had been breached using a clay brick. Once inside, the intruder stole and drank several small Gatorades, leaving an empty bottle on the floor and a latent fingerprint on a nearby container for the Criminal Investigation Division to analyze.
The break-in directly connects to a multi-agency manhunt from two days prior. On Saturday, June 13, the Stringtown Police Department, Atoka Police Department, and the Atoka County Sheriff's Office converged on a stolen U-Haul at the Choctaw Travel Plaza. The driver, Blakely Joe Zachary, abandoned the vehicle and fled into the surrounding woods.
