An emergency medical helicopter flew a passenger to the hospital Saturday night following a multi-vehicle ATV crash in Atoka County.
According to a preliminary Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the collision occurred at approximately 10:30 PM on July 18, 2026, near the intersection of Bentley Road and East Prairie Road.
Trooper Hunter Brower reported that three separate all-terrain vehicles were all traveling southbound on Bentley Road when the lead ATV, driven by 28-year-old Chad Ham of Atoka, stopped in the roadway to avoid an animal. A second southbound ATV, driven by a 14-year-old from Atoka whose name was withheld by authorities, then struck Ham's vehicle from behind.
