Last week was pretty exciting at Stringtown FBC! VBS was happening! Beth understands that there were up to 80 people each night in attendance! That's kids and adults combined. It takes a bunch of adults to teach, prepare a meal, serve, and clean up! And then, 4 kids gave their hearts to Jesus! That makes EVERYTHING worth it! The kids did an offering time each night. The offering went to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. There was OVER $400 collected. And, for each dedicated increment of money collected, a selected person got a pie in the face! There were SEVERAL pies smashed into faces! Claude Self, were you the LAST one? Then, there were 2 winners of bicycles drawn at the end of the service on Sunday. Congratulations to Sybo Bennett and Callie Lemmons who were winners of the bikes!
The ladies' class is continuing with the study of John. They'll be finished in a couple of weeks. Then on to I, II, III John! We missed Kathy, Sherry, Dianna, and Judy! And, Paula, it was good to see you in class on Sunday! We hope you're enjoying the class and learning too!
There were a few birthdays celebrated at SFBC on Sunday! Happy Birthday to Ryder Holt, Claude Self, Helen Langdon, and Marilyn Holstine! Hope your birthdays were special! (Remember that birthday money goes to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children!)
