The Southern Oklahoma Library System is excited to announce its annual Library Card Sign-Up Month this September, inviting families and friends across the region to discover the many benefits of having a library card while enjoying a fun, interactive event: “Pick-A-Pop!
Throughout September, anyone who signs up for a new library card or uses their existing card at any Southern Oklahoma Library System location will have the chance to participate in the “Pick-A-Pop!” game. Each participant can select a random lollipop from the display. Those who pick a lollipop with a black spot on the stick will win a free 3D print item, courtesy of the library’s cutting-edge 3D printing services (library standards apply). The event will run through September 30th.
A library card opens the door to a world of resources, including access to computers, high-speed wireless Internet, eBooks, audio books, magazines, DVDs, and a collection of over 200,000 printed materials. The Southern Oklahoma Library System also offers computer classes, children’s story times, summer reading programs, research databases, book clubs, homework assistance, tutoring, DIY programs, and a variety of community outreach events.
