A driver traveling with a defective brake light ended up behind bars Tuesday afternoon after Atoka Police discovered he had never held a valid driver’s license.
Officer Christian Shomo pulled over a black Acura sedan on U.S. Highway 69 near the Tushka city limits around 5:02 p.m. on Aug. 18 after noticing faulty brake lights and objects dangling from the rearview mirror.
When asked for identification, the driver, Kevin Ochoa, handed over a passport and admitted he did not have a driver's license. A check through the National Crime Information Center database confirmed Ochoa had never been issued one.
