Ruthie Anderson and several of her special friends who have shared a friendship that has spanned over 60 years all enjoyed a nice outing last week as they helped Ruthie celebrate her 91st birthday, The ladies all range in age from 85 years to 91 years. Edna Burleson and Ruthie have been friends for over 80 years since they were little girls. Ruthie would pick Edna up for school on her horse when they attended Goss School. Ruthie often tells the story of when she was trying to switch her horse to make it go faster and later realized she had been switching Edna's legs and Edna didn't ever say anything.
Ruthie and Imogene have been friends and sister-inlaws for over 70 years, a friendship that began when Imogene married Ruthie's brother, Jack Bacon.
Dorothy Muncy and Lavona Wyrick became friends over 60 years ago when Ruthie and her family moved back to Daisy and they all went to church together at McGee Valley.
