Rain Can't Stop Atoka's 'Another 48 Hours'

Overcast skies and rainy weather failed to deter music fans in downtown Atoka on Saturday, Oct. 3, as the community turned out to celebrate the annual 'Another 48 Hours' Music Festival.

Despite the rain, attendees packed the festival grounds along E. Court Street and the Downtown Green for the daylong event, which is organized annually by the Atoka Music, Arts & Entertainment (AMA&E) Coalition. The event serves as a modern nod to the landmark 1975 '48 Hours in Atoka' country music festival while raising funds to support local youth in arts, music, and dance.

A highlight of this year's festival was the opportunity for three area music students to perform on stage alongside the festival's featured artists:
