We have sure had some rain! Ray and Beth have measured close to 5 inches! Did you get more than that by Sunday afternoon? Let Beth know, and she'll put some totals in next week's paper! Beth enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the rain, and enjoying the cooler weather. She even had to put on a jacket one day!
Have you taken your hummingbird feeders down? Beth got hers down on Sunday. She saw a few birds on Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday, but Ginger said she should go ahead and take the feeders down. So, cleaning and storing for next year is done! Remember-- Don't clean feeders with soap. Use vinegar or lemon juice instead! Wouldn't you know it... as soon as she took the feeders down, THREE hummingbirds came looking for food! On Monday morning, one flew to the window like she was trying to see if Beth was refilling the feeder to bring breakfast! Sigh...
Here are a few holidays to celebrate. Beth likes the Angel Food Cake Day (with strawberries of course) and the National Handbag Day (she has TOO MANY of those!).
