The Tushka Lady Tigers are headed back to the state fast-pitch tournament, and this year's return carries extra significance after the team was eliminated at home in the super regional round a year ago.
Tushka (24-9) enters the Class 2A Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association State Tournament as the #4 seed after losing a tiebreaker for the #3 seed to Pocola. The Lady Indians earned the higher seed because of a better winning percentage.
The Lady Tigers will open the state tournament against #6 Vanoss (28-12) at noon on Thursday, Oct. 8, at Firelake Ballfields in Shawnee.
