Homegrown Meats is officially open in Atoka, bringing a new farm-to-table storefront where customers can purchase local meats and watch the products cut and prepared through large viewing windows into the processing area.

Co-owners Gary and Charity Hensley, along with Briar Davidson, developed the concept during the COVID-19 pandemic to address regional meat shortages and provide locally sourced options.

The business partnered with the Choctaw Nation to supply its retail counter. Sourced from 65,000 acres across seven Choctaw Nation ranches, the beef is born, raised, and individually tracked in Oklahoma, meeting quality grades ranging from choice-plus to prime.
