Hello Atoka! Well, it has finally happened, the Autumnal Equinox has arrived along with cooler temperatures and the welcomed arrival of rain on our drought- stricken land. The moisture has been most welcomed, and it is good to see the grass become green once again.
I was sitting outside putting my shoes on for my morning walk and saw hummingbirds taking nectar from flowers planted in the garden beds. This was most welcomed as I had not seen any since the inception of the hot weather. Birds were again singing that morning, and I saw the cottontails and deer walking alongside the road and through the pastures.
We had to say a final "good-bye" to our beloved friend and pet Ranger this week and his passing brought reflections on my life and life in general, and we sought to comfort him and express our love for him. It is strange how things come about and how we are affected by the introduction of something in our lives.
