The Lane Public School gymnasium was filled with families, alumni, and community supporters recently as the school hosted its First Annual Pie Auction, raising more than $15,000 to benefit local students.

The inaugural fundraiser was organized to support end-of-year field trips for students and assist in establishing a new elementary school library. Community members and local bakers donated more than 100 pies and homemade baked goods for the event, which were auctioned off throughout the evening.

Sandmann Auctions volunteered auctioneering services for the event, driving enthusiastic bidding across the gym floor. Several area businesses also provided financial and logistical backing, including First Bank, Ameristate Bank, Wyrick Lumber Company, Atoka Feed and Seed, and Donnie's Paint & Body Shop.
