Join the Southern Oklahoma Library System (SOLS), for the 2025 Summer Reading Program (SRP), Color Our World. The annual SRP will provide programming such as Art Theft-A Dog Comedy starring Denise Gard’s famous Border Collies Joey and Kira, Inspyral Circus acrobat Kelsey Nicole, Extreme Animals, Bart Taylor with the Will Rogers Memorial Museum and so much more! Join your local SOLS branch for summer movies, crafts, book clubs, and kickoff parties! Discover so much more during the many programs beginning in May and continuing throughout the summer months.
This year SOLS will continue using Reader Zone for our SRP participants to track their reading minutes. Please contact your local library to learn about this system and ask for your library’s code. Paper reading logs will still be made available.
Once they complete all of their reading goals, participants will be able to claim one ticket at their local SOLS branch to be entered for a variety of fun prizes. The prizes will be drawn at the end of SRP.
“We have programs and entertainment planned for all ages and interests,” said Youth Services Coordinator Stephanie Way. “We are thrilled to host this year’s Summer Reading Program and we invite everyone in the community to come celebrate with us.”
All SRP programs are free, but some may have age requirements. Check with your local branch library for more information and dates of events. It’s all part of this year’s educational and enjoyable affair.
“At SOLS, we value the importance of engaging our youth in literacy and learning, especially during the summer,” said Executive Director Gail Oehler. “This year’s program is filled with activities for the entire family.”
