A local woman is facing allegations of violating a Protective Order after reportedly sending threatening and harassing messages to the victim.
According to an Atoka Police Department report filed by Lt. Jimmy Taylor, a Protective Order was issued in Atoka County on March 4, 2025, and is in effect until March 4, 2026.
The order prohibits Stacy Stricklin from attempting or having any contact with the victim, either in person, through others, or by any means, and from engaging in any harassing, stalking, threatening, or abusive behavior. The order also requires Stricklin to stay away from the victim's residence.
On May 11, 2025, Lt. Taylor received a report from the victim regarding alleged violations of this order. The victim stated that on May 8, 2025, her father sent her a screenshot of a message purportedly from her Aunt, Stacy Stricklin.
The message allegedly contained derogatory language and threats, demanding that the victim leave a specific residence and threatening harm to a third party if this did not occur within two weeks.
The victim further reported that on May 11, 2025, at approximately 2:33 PM, Stricklin directly contacted her with a message stating, 'Get Out.' The victim indicated that this harassment has been ongoing for nearly two years, despite the existing Protective Order which explicitly prohibits contact and speaking about the victim to others.
The victim provided Lt. Taylor with the message she received directly from Stricklin, which read, 'Get Out,' sent at 2:33 PM. She also showed the officer the message her father allegedly received from Stricklin, which contained explicit threats and demands related to the victim's living situation.
The Atoka Police Department is investigating the reported violations.
