The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represent local tax receipts from March business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from Mar. 16 to 31 and estimated sales from April 1 to 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $206,739,760 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $4,636,587 from the $202,103,173 distributed to the cities and towns in May last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and town was $40,487,120 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $34,646,337 sales tax disbursement and a $8,256,046 use tax disbursement.
