Little Miss Choctaw Princess

Paisley, the 10-year-old daughter of Dorothy Laney and Chase Tenequer from Atoka, proudly showcases her heritage and her title of Little Miss Choctaw Princess for District 10. A 4th-grader at Atoka Elementary, Paisley is adorned in a traditional handmade Choctaw regalia, crafted by Ms. Deana Cantrell, featuring peach fabric with symbolic white diamond patterns representing the diamondback rattlesnake. Her attire is completed with a woven basket handmade by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw, handmade jewelry kindly loaned by the Choctaw Club of Durant Oklahoma, a duck-feathered, beaded fan made by her Moshi Emery Roberts Jr. of Dallas, Texas, and white moccasins.
