The 2024-2025 Atoka Girls Basketball Coach Jay Ray coached the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association (OGBCA) Middle East All-State team to a 44-40 win over the West on May 31 at Mustang High School. He coached alongside Kayla Denton of Idabel. This past season, Ray led the Lady Wampus Cats to a 15-14 record and a Class 3A Area Tournament appearance. Ray recently resigned from Atoka and will be the girls’ basketball head coach at Central Sallisaw for the 2025-2026 season.
