The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from April business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from April 16 to 30 and estimated sales from May 1 to 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $201,028,856 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $6,927,715 from the $194,105,141 distributed to the cities and towns in June last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $36,620,911 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared a $35,436,529 sales tax disbursement and a $7,416,188 use tax disbursement.
