A driver was arrested early Wednesday morning after an Atoka Police officer observed his vehicle failing to maintain a single lane of travel. The subsequent traffic stop revealed the driver did not possess a valid license.
At approximately 1:00 AM on June 4, 2025, Patrolman Grady Blackwood with the Atoka Police Department was on routine patrol near S Mississippi Avenue and C Street. He observed a black Jeep Compass, bearing an Oklahoma paper tag, traveling northbound on S Mississippi Avenue and failing to maintain its lane.
Officer Blackwood activated his emergency equipment, initiating a traffic stop. The vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the Thunderbird Motel. Officer Blackwood advised Atoka County Dispatch of the stop location and vehicle description before making contact with the driver, identified as Yosvani Perez Delgado.
