Atoka Police are investigating a Pittsburg County woman in connection with two separate alleged 'ticket switching' incidents at the local Walmart, where she is suspected of scanning higherpriced items as lower-cost goods.
On May 8, 2025, Sgt. Grady Blackwood of the Atoka Police Department began investigating a theft case after receiving paperwork from Latricia Workman, the Asset Protection (AP) manager at Walmart. Workman identified the suspect as Caren Johnston, age 49, of Pittsburg County, based on a credit card used for payment and social media profiles. Sgt. Blackwood further identified Johnston as the suspect by matching a small tattoo on her right forearm, visible in social media images, with footage from the incidents.
The AP manager detailed two separate incidents occurring within a 30-day span.
