Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Charges forAtoka Man

A routine patrol by Atoka Police Department officers on June 29, 2025, led to the arrest of a man found driving with a suspended license and displaying an unauthorized license plate.

At approximately 9:13 AM, Officer Zachary Rice, accompanied by Recruit Police Officer Trevin Loudermilk, observed a tan extended cab Chevrolet truck traveling north on Ohio Street. Officer Rice, recognizing the driver as Adam Dewayne Cole from previous encounters, suspected he had a suspended driver's license.

Officers observed Cole turn west onto C Street and stop in front of a residence, exiting his vehicle. Officer Rice noted the vehicle's license plate was an Oklahoma Choctaw Nation tag, which a check revealed had been replaced by a different Oklahoma plate and returned to a 2019 Ford F-150, not matching the truck Cole was driving. A check of Cole's driver's license status confirmed it was suspended.
